Studies of the Interior of a Cottage, and a Sketch of The Potato Eaters

Small pencil and ink drawing of a cottage room aside a rough study for the Potato Eaters scene. Thin lines and dark wash build the walls, the table and the people in outline. Empty space around the sketch edges lets the shapes stand apart.

This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The frame holds the paper flat and the back panel covers the rear, so the drawing stays protected and ready to place.

A kitchen wall above the counter shows the dark wash clearly in the morning sun, and from the table you notice the thin pencil lines that trace the roof beams. The study of the Potato Eaters sketch sits there quietly.
