Wide bands of colour run across the sheet in Study for Deoxyribonucleic Acid Arabs 1. A soft green field meets a narrow red strip near the edge. The marks feel drawn, then painted over.

Salvador Dali worked in a surrealist mode, where words and symbols mix with the picture. The fine art print shows the drawn lines and the painted areas together. A black frame gives the picture a hard edge.
