Synthesis — Fine Art

Synthesis shows a search for order written with clean lines. MC Escher built the image with measured drawing practice, a habit from his graphic print work. The marks move through the sheet in a steady rhythm, the kind of pattern study he repeated across his career.

The fine art print sits on a chosen wall with a frame that matches the room. A light frame on a dark wall lets the thin lines read clearly, while a dark frame on a pale wall keeps the drawing calm. The paper stays matte so the lines do not catch a lamp.

On the landing wall near the stairs you see the repeating marks first, then the small details when you stand below. The drawing reads well in the side light that comes down the stairwell in the afternoon.
