The Catapult of Desert 1926 by Rene Magritte

The Catapult of Desert 1926 by Rene Magritte shows a painted scene with objects placed against a cool sky and a dry land tone. The picture uses flat colour and simple outlines in the style of surrealist painting.

A fine art print set in a frame with a back panel carries the image. The back panel covers the rear for a clean finish.

The matte surface keeps the painted marks without shine. It suits a bookshelf in a study. From that spot the sky reads soft and the dry land stays plain.
