The Glass 1914 — Fine Art

The Glass 1914 shows a single glass set on a surface, built from clear outlined planes and filled with soft colour. Juan Gris breaks the object into simple sections that read as flat shapes. The drawn edges hold the parts together.

A fine art print comes with a frame in white, wood, dark wood or black. The frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall, and the dark frame keeps the outlined glass from fading into the room.

A narrow hallway wall works because the glass fills a small space and the plain background stays calm. From the front door you see the whole shape, and the frame edge stays near the door.
