The Meschers

The Meschers by Ellsworth Kelly shows a coastal rock outline cut from a plain ground. The edge reads as a single drawn line rather than a painted area.

The work sits within the hard edge painting of post war abstraction. A metal hanger is fitted to the back and goes straight onto a nail or screw. The fine art print arrives ready to hang with no separate frame to buy.

It works above a long sofa against a plain wall. From the doorway the coastal outline keeps its shape. Up close the plain ground stays quiet and you see the line hold its own space.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
