The Oise Valley — Fine Art

The Oise Valley shows a wide river scene with a low shore and some trees along the water. Paul Cézanne paints the land in separate colour patches, with greens and ochres set against a pale sky.

The paper is matte, so the greens and ochres stay soft and there is no shine under a lamp. A metal hanger is fitted to the back and goes straight onto a nail or screw, so the fine art print goes up on the wall without a separate frame to buy.

On a bedside wall the pale sky holds the room and the river bend shows first from the doorway. From the bed the separate colour patches on the shore hold the eye, and the matte paper keeps the greens quiet.
