The Prickly Dark — Fine Art

The Prickly Dark shows dark marks that sit on a lighter ground and seem to crowd the sheet. The title points to a small space of shadow or thorn, and the picture reads like a close study of that idea. Each mark keeps its own edge.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. A metal hanger is fitted to the back, so you set it straight onto a nail or screw. No frame to buy. The paper stays matte, which lets the dark marks sit without a shine under a lamp.

On a narrow corridor wall, hung near a doorway, you see the dark marks first from a few steps away. Up close you notice the small marks that fill the space between them.
