The roofs

The roofs shows a cluster of houses seen from a distance. Rooftops and chimneys stack up with separate patches of colour. Paul Cézanne builds the scene with short colour marks that sit side by side.

This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. It arrives assembled when the ready to hang option is used. The matte paper keeps the colour patches flat so the hatches read clearly on the wall.

In a hallway with a north facing wall, the separate brush marks read from the landing. The eye moves from one roof patch to the next as you pass the picture.

As a guide: 40×50 cm suits a desk or small wall, 50×70 cm sits well above a sofa or bed, and 70×100 cm anchors a room as a focal piece. If you'd like advice for your space, send us your dimensions and we'll recommend a size.

For your country, this piece is estimated at 5 to 8 business days from the moment you order, including production, with free tracked delivery. Every piece is made to order by the print partner closest to you; framed pieces take a little longer because each one is framed and checked before dispatch. These are estimates, and there is no express option. Full country-by-country ranges are on our estimated delivery times page, and you can see exactly how your piece is packed.

If your piece arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number, and keep all packaging. We will send a free replacement at no cost to you. See our refund policy for the full process.
