The Sacred Heart

Red paint fills the centre of the sheet with a soft border around it. The shape sits alone on a plain ground. The title of the work, The Sacred Heart, points to that single red form. Damien Hirst uses bright colour against open space in his work.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The print comes ready to hang. A metal hanger is fitted to the back and goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame is needed. The matte paper keeps the red tone level and stops glare from a ceiling light.

It fits on a bedroom wall above a low shelf. From the doorway you see the red shape first, then the quiet space around it. On the wall the hanger holds it level and the red stays steady in the light.
