The White House by John Singer Sargent — Fine Art

The White House by John Singer Sargent looks at a white building set against trees and sky. The paint stays loose, with quick strokes defining the walls and the leaves. A soft wash of colour sits behind the structure. The scene feels like a study done outside, with light falling across the front of the house.

This fine art print uses a matte paper that keeps the pale tones quiet and stops a glare under ceiling light. The frame finish can match the room, so a light frame sits on a dark wall or a wood frame stands near wooden furniture.

It fits on a hallway wall where you pass it each morning. From the stair, the white shape reads first, and up close the small brush marks come into view.
