Toward Disappearance III — Fine Art

A wide open field sits under a few soft colour streaks. Toward Disappearance III asks the eye to travel across the pale ground until it finds the small dark marks near the edge. The painted lines push toward the side and then stop, leaving the rest empty.

The fine art print uses a matte surface so the thin wash tones stay flat under indoor light. A light frame can sit on a dark wall, or a dark frame on a pale wall. The print hangs on the wall at a normal height for the room.

In a hallway with one ceiling light, the pale ground stays quiet and the darker marks show up first. From the far end of the hall you see the open field, then the small coloured streaks near the edge.
