Ulysses

Ulysses by Barnett Newman uses a broad field of colour with one tall vertical stripe that cuts down the picture. The brushwork leaves a thin edge where the paint meets the ground.

The mark sits hard against the flat colour behind it. This fine art print arrives set in a frame with a back panel, so the image stays flat and the edges stay clean.

You notice the stripe and the colour first, then the small changes in the paint surface. It works on a narrow wall in a study, where the tall shape draws the eye upward beside a desk lamp.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
