Untitled 1 by Andre Derain — Fine Art

Untitled 1 by Andre Derain is known only by its name, so the picture stays open. The work sits inside the early twentieth century French painting period, when painters broke scenes into bold colour areas and thick marks. You cannot pin down a single subject from the title alone.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy.

Hang it on the stair landing wall where the steps turn. From the bottom tread you see the big colour blocks across the rise. Closer up, the small marks in the paint surface come into view. The scene stays quiet against the wood rail and the warm wall.
