Untitled - 1940 by Wols takes a plain sheet and breaks it into small spots and short strokes. Wols worked in a loose free form style, and the marks here sit close together without a single clear outline.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. A white border runs around the edge of the sheet, holding the busy marks inside a clear line on the wall. The white frame keeps the edge clean so the grey and black marks do not blend into the plaster behind it.

The work fits well on a narrow kitchen wall above a work counter. From the sink you see the dark spots first, and the faint lines step back when you stand at the door.
