Untitled - 1962 shows a sheet crowded with loose ink strokes and small patches of tone. The marks move in many directions and leave parts of the ground open. Henri Michaux worked with ink and pencil in a quick calligraphic way, and this sheet fits that practice.

This fine art print is set in a frame with a back panel. The surface stays matte, so the light ink tones do not shine under a lamp.

It hangs on a narrow hallway wall near the stairs. From the landing you see the busy marks first, then the open spaces between them.
