About this work
Untitled - 1964 shows thin lines crossing the paper in a quiet pattern. The marks sit at different distances from each other and leave open paper between them. Mira Schendel made these kinds of drawings with careful handwork, and the image keeps that steady feeling. The fine art print shows those small lines well.
The fine art frame comes in white, wood, dark wood and black, and the frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall. A white frame keeps the paper tones soft, while a black frame makes the narrow lines read more clearly against the finish.
It works on a bedroom wall beside a bed with a lamp on a side table. In the evening the room looks calmer, and the spaced lines hold the eye without crowding the space.
