Untitled

This fine art print of Untitled - 1970 by Maria Helena Vieira da Silva shows a layered field of lines and colour.

The artist built her canvases with woven marks that cross and overlap, leaving soft passages between the darker strokes. The print sits in a frame with a back panel, and the matte surface holds the mid tones without shine.

Hang it on a dining room wall where the light changes through the day. From the table you see the broad crossings, and from the doorway you notice the small gaps where the paper shows through.
