Untitled Abstraction VIII 1937 — Fine Art

Untitled Abstraction VIII 1937 by Josef Albers turns on a measured set of shapes laid out by hand. The work uses simple forms and flat tones, a balance of line and colour that points to the Bauhaus practice behind so much of the artists output.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The print sits in a frame with a back panel, ready to hang when you choose the ready to hang option. The matte paper keeps the tones soft and the edges even, so the shapes read without glare under the room light.

It works on the wall of a reading corner with a warm lamp. From the chair you see the whole arrangement of shapes, and the quiet tones settle the space without pulling the eye too hard.
