Untitled by Barnett Newman uses a broad field of colour with one or more tall vertical lines that run from top to bottom. The lines are drawn with firm strokes, so the edges hold their shape against the softer ground. You can see where the brush slows at the ends of each line.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame is needed.

It fits above a desk in a study, where the tall lines run parallel to the wall. From the desk you notice the firm edges of each line, and the quiet field around them. The metal hanger keeps the print level without extra hardware.
