Untitled — Fine Art

Untitled - Color Field Painting, Lyrical Abstraction opens on a field of colour laid down in loose horizontal bands. The paint flows across the sheet, with some bands darker and others washed thin. Paul Jenkins built this kind of work by pouring and tilting pigment so it spreads on its own.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy.

On a bedroom wall, the broad colour bands sit above the bed and the eye moves along them from one side to the other. From the doorway you notice the change in tone across the sheet, and from the bed the small shifts in the paint become clearer.
