Untitled Cup — Fine Art

The title Untitled Cup sits in the front of this fine art print. Philip Guston lets a plain shape stand on a painted field. The image reads like a simple cup turned into a blunt form. Thick paint strokes press forward and the edges stay soft.

The frame for this fine art print comes in white, wood, dark wood or black. A white frame keeps the painted field clear and gives the picture a straight edge on the wall. A wood frame adds a warm line beside the painted shape.

It sits on the wall above a kitchen table. From the chair you see the plain shape and the painted field. The painted strokes stay soft under the kitchen light. You notice the blunt form first, then the smaller marks along the edge.
