Untitled Gitterbild — Fine Art

Untitled Gitterbild - 2001 takes a grid of painted lines and breaks it across the sheet. The lines run in a steady hand, some thicker, some thinner. Gunther Forg lets the paint sit where he placed it. The grid reads as a slow set of marks rather than a single block.

This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The matte surface keeps the painted lines flat and holds the tones without shine. With the ready to hang option it arrives assembled and ready to mount on the wall.

In a study, the grid reads from the desk and the small shifts in line weight show when you stand at the bookshelf. The room stays quiet behind it.
