Untitled Lemons and Jar by Richard Diebenkorn shows fruit beside a glass container on a flat painted ground. The marks sit close together, with the yellow shapes built from repeated passes of a loaded brush. The container reads as a soft outline rather than a hard edge.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The paper is matte, so the yellow paint reads without shine and the grey ground stays even under indoor bulbs. A light frame on a dark wall keeps the painted marks close to the surface.

It works above a kitchen counter near the sink. From the doorway you see the broad yellow shape first, and at the table you notice the thin pencil lines around the jar.
