Untitled SFP94-11 sff 1694 shows a pale field with broad colour washes spread over it. The paint sits in open areas and leaves space around the edges. Sam Francis worked with thin layers and open grounds in his abstract watercolour practice.

The fine art frame comes in white, wood, dark wood and black. A white frame keeps the edge of this picture quiet against the open field. A wood frame gives the washes a warmer line. The frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall.
