Untitled SFP94-135 SFF 1805 — Fine Art

Untitled SFP94-135 SFF 1805 by Sam Francis shows a large open field with thin colour spreads and a few small marks placed near the edges. The paint sits in wide areas with soft edges around them. Sam Francis worked with open colour washes and left space around the painted shapes.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. A light frame sits on a dark wall and the pale paint stays visible under soft ceiling light. The matte paper keeps the thin washes from shining and the dark frame follows the wall tone.

In a bedroom the viewer notices the thin colour spreads across the wall from the doorway. Up close the small pencil marks show beside the painted shapes.
