Vase of Tulips and Anemones — Fine Art

Bright flower heads cluster inside a clear vase in Vase of Tulips and Anemones. Stems lean in from the left, and the petals spread across the page in quick separate touches. Pierre-Auguste Renoir painted this kind of flower still life using broken colour and loose strokes, a practice common in the late nineteenth century.
