Veluti in Speculum — Fine Art

Veluti in Speculum uses a dark ground with sharper colour shapes pushed across it. Warm reds and cooler blues sit against each other so the eye moves between them.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The title points to a mirror, and the paint keeps that sense of reflection. Hans Hofmann worked with this push and pull method in his abstract painting. The white frame gives the sheet a clean edge on the wall.
