Vetheuil, Flowering Plum Trees — Fine Art

Vetheuil, Flowering Plum Trees shows a row of trees in early leaf and pale bloom. Short quick strokes build up the branches and the ground below.

The scene stays near the ground, with the trunks rising on the left side. A fine art print set in a frame with a back panel holds the image steady on a flat surface.

The matte face keeps the light tones from going too bright under indoor lamps. It works on the wall beside a reading chair, where the eye catches the branch shapes first and then the small marks in the trunk.
