Vientos 1989 by Alejandro Obregon — Fine Art

Vientos 1989 holds a quiet search for air and movement inside a Colombian abstract painting.

The work uses broad colour shapes and open space, the kind of search that follows a long practice of looking for wind inside paint. A fine art print keeps the colours steady on matte paper, so the greyer tones do not shine under a lamp.

A light frame on a dark wall lets the open parts of the picture breathe without crowding them. It works on a bedroom wall near the foot of the bed, where morning light moves across the marks before the room gets busy.
