View from Renoirs Garden in Montmartre — Fine Art

View from Renoirs Garden in Montmartre shows a garden corner in Paris with flowers and a bit of sky. Pierre-Auguste Renoir worked in loose separate brush touches with clear colour. The paint sits on the surface in small marks rather than a flat wash.

The fine art print is on matte paper, so the colour stays flat and does not shine under a lamp. The frame follows the room, with a light frame on a dark wall or a wood frame beside wooden furniture. You see the brush marks better when you stand close.

It fits on the wall beside a kitchen sink where the morning light comes in. From the table you see the garden shapes, up close you see the separate paint touches. The work holds still while the room moves around it.
