Walter Anderson by Walter Anderson, Fine Art — Fine Art

Walter Anderson looks at plant and animal shapes with clear outlines and soft painted colour. The print shows a bird form and a leaf shape side by side, with simple strokes and muted hues. It belongs to a body of work where Walter Anderson drew from the Gulf coast and made small studies of birds, shells and flowers.

The print arrives ready to hang with a metal hanger fitted to the back, so it goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame is needed, and the sheet is made to be handled like a fine art piece.

On a kitchen wall near the sink, the bird outline reads first when you wash dishes. From the doorway you notice the soft colour patches, and the leaf shape sits quiet against the tiles.
