About this work
Washington, D.C., October #8, 1964 - 1964 uses the measured drawings and grey ink washes Edward Corbett practiced in his Washington work.
A few thin lines and soft washes build a city view, with the paper left open to hold light.
The piece prints on fine art paper, and the frame finish can follow the room: a light frame on a dark wall, a dark frame on a pale wall, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture. It hangs on a hallway wall near the bottom stair, where you cross past it each day and notice the quiet lines.
