Weather Change

Weather Change - 1963 opens on a broad wash of colour laid across the sheet. The paint thins at the edges and lets the paper show through in places.

Helen Frankenthaler worked with poured washes that soak into the surface instead of sitting on top. The fine art print is set in a frame with a back panel and arrives assembled when the ready to hang option is used.

The matte finish keeps the thin colour quiet and stops shine from a lamp. It fits a study wall above a desk. From the chair you see the wide field of colour and the small changes in tone as the paint thins out.
