Yellow Painting — Fine Art

Yellow Painting by Barnett Newman uses a broad field of yellow against a darker tone. A vertical band cuts through the surface and splits the sheet. The paint sits in a flat layer with little variation across each zone.

The fine art print keeps the colour even so the yellow reads as one clear block. A light frame lets the sheet stand out on a darker wall. A dark frame suits a pale wall or wood furniture.

This print fits a short wall above a low cabinet. From across the room the yellow field fills the view. Up close the edge of the band and the paint texture come into focus.
