Theo van Rysselberghe was a Belgian Neo-Impressionist painter and a leading practitioner of Pointillism alongside Paul Signac, celebrated for his shimmering, mosaic-like portraits, seascapes, and garden scenes composed of precise, separated dabs of pure colour. His luminous, technically refined works are among the finest in Belgian Divisionism.
