About this work

Acracropolis

Acracropolis shows stacked planes and sharp edges in dark paint over a lighter field. The eye enters at a heavy block near the left edge and rests there.

Empty space holds the right side open. Al Held built these shapes with hard edges and flat colour.

A fine art print keeps those edges crisp on matte paper so the dark shapes stay firm and the lighter field stays soft under a lamp. It works on a wall above a desk where you see the big shapes from across the room and the small shifts in the paint up close. The dark block reads first at that distance.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.
Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
