Blue Frame

Blue Frame shows a wide open field with a blue border running around the edge. Sam Francis used open colour and soft washes in his work. The centre stays empty and the painted bands sit near the sides. The eye moves around the border and rests in the middle.

This fine art print comes set in a frame with a back panel. The frame holds the paper flat so the blue edge reads clean and the white centre does not fold. The back panel keeps the print steady on the wall.

It fits on a blank wall in a reading corner, where the blue band catches the lamp light and the empty centre gives the room room to breathe. From the chair you see the border first, then the plain middle.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
