Composition Brun — Fine Art

The composition of Composition Brun - 1933 flows from broad painted shapes across a muted field. The hand of John Ferren moves with steady pressure, leaving uneven edges where the brush lifted. You can see the dry drag of paint where the colour thins out at the sides.

This fine art print sits on a matte paper that holds the soft tone without shine. A light frame on a dark plaster wall keeps the painted shapes clear in the corner light. The frame finish can follow the room, matching a pale wood shelf beside it.

A hallway wall at the far end catches the grey tones each time you pass. The painted forms stay readable from the landing, and the paper surface stays quiet under the strip light.
