Hello — Fine Art

Hello by Sam Francis spreads a wash of colour across the sheet. Broad bands of paint meet open white space, with thin lines crossing the field. The painted marks sit on the surface rather than fading into it.

This fine art print sits on matte paper, so the painted washes keep a flat face and the open areas do not shine. The frame follows the room, with a light finish against a darker surface or a wood finish beside a wooden table.

In a kitchen, the bright colour hits the eye at the end of the counter. From the sink the marks read as simple shapes, while the open white holds the quiet around them.
