Landscape 1907 — Fine Art

Green fields and a blue sky sit behind simple tree shapes in Landscape 1907. Short paint strokes build the trees and the ground in blocks of colour. The scene reads as a countryside viewed on a bright day. Andre Derain used thick paint to lay colour down directly.
