Landscape Provence 1925 — Fine Art

Landscape Provence 1925 by Andre Derain uses thick paint laid on in short strokes. Green fields sit under a pale sky. The marks stay separate, so the surface keeps a rough feel. You see hills and trees worked in a strong colour range.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The paper is matte, which softens the paint and stops glare from a lamp. The frame can follow the room, with a light finish on a dark wall or a wood finish beside wooden furniture. This gives the image a steady place on the wall.

In a study, the print hangs above a desk. From the chair you catch the green bands and the pale sky. The short strokes stay clear when you stand near the desk.
