Mneme — Fine Art

Mneme - 2006 by Stephen Mueller sets a soft abstract mark across the sheet. The title suggests memory, and the image repeats a steady shape that stays quiet on the page. Stephen Mueller often works with restraint, and the picture follows that habit.

The fine art print uses a matte paper so the pale tones stay even and there is no shine when a lamp sits nearby. A light frame on a dark wall lets the quieter tones read clearly, and the fine art finish keeps the surface simple.

In a hall with one steady bulb the image sits above the coat hooks. From the stair you see the repeated shape, and the quiet tones stay even under the single light.
