Ocean Cliffs by Eyvind Earle puts a sharp coastline against a sea and sky. The rocks form clean hard shapes that stand out from the softer bands behind them. Eyvind Earle often used this kind of flat color and clear outline in his landscapes. The picture keeps the sea and the cliff in two separate groups of color.
