About this work
Power User - 1995 by Peter Halley shows a painted field built from clear rectangular shapes. The cells sit side by side on a solid ground, with hard edges and flat colour. This style comes from the artist practice of painting structured space with repeated cell forms.
You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. A metal hanger is fitted to the back, so the sheet goes straight onto a nail in the wall. No frame is needed. The flat surface keeps the hard edges of each cell sharp and the colours stay even.
It hangs well in a quiet study above a desk, where the strong shapes read from the chair and the plain field gives the room a steady feel.
