Ripe by Edward Ruscha sets a single word across the sheet in a steady painted band. The letters read flat against the ground, with the tone of each letter carrying its own weight. Across the room the word holds its shape as one block.

This is a fine art print set in a frame, with a back panel. The paper stays matte, so the letter forms keep their flat tone and the background does not shine under a lamp. When the ready to hang option is used, the frame arrives assembled and ready to place on the wall.

It fits on the wall in a hallway where you pass it each day. From the door the word reads as a plain shape, and from the end of the hall you catch the slight shift in tone between the letters.
