Sem titulo - 1969 by Menez uses broad strokes of paint laid across a flat surface. The marks move across the picture in a steady rhythm. Some areas sit darker, others stay pale, and the shapes do not settle into a clear object.

The fine art print is made on matte paper, so the painted areas stay soft and do not shine. The frame finish can follow the room, a light frame on a dark wall, a dark frame on a pale wall, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture.

It works on a hallway wall where the light is even. From the landing you see the broad bands of paint first. Closer in, the edges of the strokes become clear. Menez kept the practice loose, and the print keeps that feel.
