Siete - 1949 shows seven dark bars laid across a pale sheet. The bars run side by side with small gaps between them. This fine art print keeps the strong geometry that Carmen Herrera used throughout her long abstract practice. The matte surface lets the plain colours stay even under indoor light.

A light frame suits a dark wall, while a dark frame works on a pale wall. The simple shape does not compete with the wall. You see the flat bars first, then the thin edges.
