Successful Campaign — Fine Art

Thick dark brush marks move across the painted ground in Successful Campaign. The paint sits on top of the surface in rough patches with uneven edges. Jean Dubuffet worked in a raw style that kept the hand of the painter visible.

The fine art print keeps those rough paint edges sharp and the dark tones stay even under room light. A matte paper holds the paint look without a shine. A dark frame or a wood frame can follow the furniture in the room.

It fits a hallway wall near the top of the stairs where the light falls across the marks. From that spot you notice the pressure in each stroke and the small colour shifts between one patch and the next. The dark strokes read clearly against the lighter ground.
