Sunset 1915 — Fine Art

Sunset 1915 shows a horizon line where the sky meets dark land. The sky holds bands of orange and yellow that thin out toward the edges.

A few trees stand as dark vertical strokes near the bottom. The marks feel quick and pressed hard into the paint. Tom Thomson made this picture with a Canadian landscape painting approach and thick colour laid on fast.
